is and the foods that you should avoid atall costs when restoring not only your immune system but your gut. You see yourgut is responsible for 80% of your entire immune system. And I want you todo this exercise with me real quick. Come back over here. We're out here inbeautiful Coronado, so sunny California. I have to love this place. And I want youto do a visualization exercise with me. I love to go outside in nature just visualize. Ithink it's really important. So what I want you to do is imagine the perfectday when you were absolutely the happiest that you've ever been.

Who are you withé What were you doingéImagine it for a second. How did you feel in that state when you were the happiesté Nowwhat I want you to do is imagine that you only had five percent of the abilityto be happy on that day. You see, 95% of the neurotransmitters, in particular, serotonin, comes from your gut. And it comes to your brain, righté That's thathappy molecule that we all want. We want to feel those happiness, the mood that'sresponsible for putting you in that state. And when you don't have it, whenyou have these glasses on that limit you to 5% of the happiness that you canexperience,

it changes your whole reality. You see a lot ofpeople are living like this. Fiftyfive percent of the U.S. is experiencing leakygut right now or gut dysbiosis. And what that is is the failure to actuallyproper absorb your food, properly absorb your food. See, it's no longer you are what youeat, it's you are what you absorb. And I've talked to you about this before. So how dowe restore the guté What things can we cut out so that we know that our littlewhite blood cells, those little soldiers that you and I have in our bodies, thatare the first line of defense, can be strong, vibrant, and healthy. Alright, come on in! Have a seat with me. I gottasit on for this just because I've heard this recently while doing my research forthis week's Saturday Strategy, and I was disturbed. Antibiotics not only destroy the

bad bacteria in your gut but the goodbacteria. So here we have a population that's eating genetically modified food. It's destroying the good gut bacteria in the body. Nnow we talked about white bloodcells, righté So your white blood cells are always in your gut, they're restoringyour gut, your leaky gut. And your body's defense system has plummeted. Eightypercent of your immune system comes from your gut, so you don't even know, most thetime, that you're eating these genetically modified foods. They'reharming your body in such a way toward disease acne, skin issues, premature aging all of these is the stress being put on on

3 Steps to Beat Lyme Disease

Hi, I'm Axe, of natural medicineand founder of DrAxe . In this tutorial, I'm going to share with you my three steps tobeat Lyme disease for good and you're going to learn the best diet, the best supplements,as well as the best natural treatments today to beat Lyme disease. And I guarantee a lotof this is going to surprise you. And if you follow the tips in this tutorial, I think you'regoing to start seeing results in as little as seven days. And I know that if you're strugglingwith Lyme disease, it can be overwhelming, it can be depressing, it can be discouraging, but I know that this is going to give you hope.

Now, one of the first things I'm going totalk about is the diet for Lyme disease. And I know that there are a lot of people outthere that are confused about the best foods when it comes to overcoming Lyme disease. And here's what I typically see. When someone has Lyme disease, they tend to gravitate andstart doing more of a raw diet, maybe juicing vegetables or trying to eat more veggies andfruits. And surprisingly, that's not the ideal diet for Lyme disease. With Lyme disease, the key is boosting your immune system. And a lot of Lyme disease or infectious disease,it begins in your gut lining. We really need to support your immune system.

Remember this, 70% of your immune system islocated in your gut. So if you're treating Lyme disease by taking a lot of things whereyou're trying to kill a parasite, that is going to be the worst thing you can possiblydo. In fact, most people get worse when they'll go and take rounds of antibiotics. Whetherthey're natural or conventional antibiotics, you're actually digging yourself into a deeperhole. And what I'm going to recommend you do if you have Lyme disease is follow a dietto start to heal and seal your gut lining is the most important thing you can do. AndI would follow a diet what I call a onepot diet or primarily a crockpot diet, every singleday, eating these meals.

I'm going to tell you, you're going to seephenomenal results this way when you follow this and some of the treatments I have foryou. So part of something to remember is that a lot of people think that maybe there's afood that's going to heal them. There is not a food that's going to heal you. Your bodyheals itself. I'll give you an example. If I cut my hand here, there isn't a nutrientthat heals this cut. I just need to keep it covered up. The body heals itself. It's thesame thing. When you have damage in your body or you have a parasite or something that'staking over inside of you, you don't want to treat it. You want to simply strengthenyour natural immune system so your body can

fight it off itself. So that's the most important thing to remember. And many people have practiced fasting for a long time. Now, I don't recommend you fastwith Lyme disease. What I recommend you do is you consume foods that are easy to digestand that help rebuild the strength of your immunity, which all starts in your gut. Andso here's what you don't want to do. Don't do ice cold drinks, don't do raw veggie juices, don't do raw vegetables, period, or a lot of raw foods. You want to be doing foods thatare warming and drying to your system that help eliminate Candida, help eliminate parasiteinfections, and any other type of pathogen

within your body. The way to do that is to consume a diet that'srich in bone broth, organic meat and vegetables. So here's what this meal looks like, is you'reconsuming, you're getting bone broth, you can buy it or make it yourself, you're goingto put that in a crock pot, you're going to get some organic chicken or beef or any typeof organic meat, and then load it up with lots of veggies, and you're going to makea homemade chicken soup or bone broth stew. And that is the perfect diet. You're gettingplenty of protein, but also loads of cooked vegetables, things like onions and garlic.

Natural Remedies for Hypothyroidism and Hashimotos Disease

Hey, guys. Axe here, of FunctionalMedicine and founder of DrAxe . Today I'm going to share with you the three steps youneed to follow to overcome hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's disease, and I'll go throughthe top diet, supplements, as well as natural treatments to do so. So the first thing you've got to do, we'vegot to know what causes hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's disease. And to be honest, 90%of hypothyroidism is an autoimmune form of Hashimoto's disease. That's where your bodyis autoimmune. It is attacking itself, which is causing issues with the thyroid.

Hippocrates is famous for saying, quot; All diseasebegins in the gut.quot; And so I believe if you have a thyroid problem, a big part of thatis starting in your gut, and it can be caused by a condition called leaky gut. So, if you'regoing to fix your thyroid, you've first got to fix and heal leaky gut. We're going todo that, again, with diet, supplements, and then removing toxins from your body. So let me talk about diet and why this isso important. When you have leaky gut, what can happen is the holes in your intestinesbecome larger, and particles like gluten can get through. This is why a lot of people withthyroid issues will notice, if they go on

a glutenfree diet, they will notice immediateresults with their thyroid. So diet wise, the first thing you've got to do is removethose things that are causing inflammation of your gut and the things that are causingmore autoimmune responses within your body. So I recommend going glutenfree and overallgrain free for a period of time, for a total of 90 days, and glutenfree just long termperiod. But gluten is one of the biggest culprits. So again, if you've got hypothyroidism orHashimoto's disease, go glutenfree to start is so important. Also, look for other foodsthat can act like gluten in your body or that cause gut inflammation. Regular grains areone of them, especially if they're not sprouted

or fermented, like ancient grains were. Thenalso, just other foods. Fast foods, too much sugar. Excess sugar in your diet will undoubtedlycause inflammation of the gut, which then, in turn, will cause some of those thyroidissues. The best diet to follow if you have hypothyroidismor Hashimoto's disease is a diet that's high in vegetables, fruits, as well as things likebone broth and organic meats. These are the things that are easiest for your body to digest. That's what you want to focus on, is letting your system rest and doing things that areeasy on your gut and your entire body, if you want to heal the thyroid.

So the type of diet you should be trying tofollow is something very similar to what's called the GAPS diet. Again, it's an ancientdiet that's full of fruits, vegetables, organic meats. So doing things like bone broth soupis fantastic, as well as also eating some probiotic rich foods, like a yogurt that'sbeen fermented for 24 to 29 hours, as well as ancient, fermented dairy products likekefir. Those probiotic rich foods can really help support the healing of the gut. So again, if you want to know more about ahypothyroidism diet, what I would do is recommend looking up things like the Leaky Gut Dietand GAPS diet, and those are the sort of diets

you want to follow for thyroid issues. Now, the second step in helping heal and repairyour thyroid is getting specific nutrients and supplements, and there are three mainsupplements you should consider taking. The first one is a supplement that has selenium.Selenium has been shown to help regulate the hormones T3 and T4 in your body. So seleniumis an essential mineral for really supporting thyroid function and for balancing out thyroidhormones. So selenium is the first one you should take. The second supplement is called ashwagandha.Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb that's
