You've seen amazing results with it. We got flooded with comments. Over 60,000 shares in two days. And that tells methat you love this type of information and it's actually impacting the peoplethat you care about. And that's why we do what we do at Fitlife.tv. At the end ofthis tutorial, I'm gonna be picking a winner of the juicer. But this week, we'retalking about the 11 things that I eat on a regular basis to transform my gut health. I'm also gonna tell you what leaky gut
is and the foods that you should avoid atall costs when restoring not only your immune system but your gut. You see yourgut is responsible for 80% of your entire immune system. And I want you todo this exercise with me real quick. Come back over here. We're out here inbeautiful Coronado, so sunny California. I have to love this place. And I want youto do a visualization exercise with me. I love to go outside in nature just visualize. Ithink it's really important. So what I want you to do is imagine the perfectday when you were absolutely the happiest that you've ever been.
Who are you withé What were you doingéImagine it for a second. How did you feel in that state when you were the happiesté Nowwhat I want you to do is imagine that you only had five percent of the abilityto be happy on that day. You see, 95% of the neurotransmitters, in particular, serotonin, comes from your gut. And it comes to your brain, righté That's thathappy molecule that we all want. We want to feel those happiness, the mood that'sresponsible for putting you in that state. And when you don't have it, whenyou have these glasses on that limit you to 5% of the happiness that you canexperience,
it changes your whole reality. You see a lot ofpeople are living like this. Fiftyfive percent of the U.S. is experiencing leakygut right now or gut dysbiosis. And what that is is the failure to actuallyproper absorb your food, properly absorb your food. See, it's no longer you are what youeat, it's you are what you absorb. And I've talked to you about this before. So how dowe restore the guté What things can we cut out so that we know that our littlewhite blood cells, those little soldiers that you and I have in our bodies, thatare the first line of defense, can be strong, vibrant, and healthy. Let's talkabout it!
Alright, come on in! Have a seat with me. I gottasit on for this just because I've heard this recently while doing my research forthis week's Saturday Strategy, and I was disturbed. Then, I know you're gonna bethere with this. Know that at the end of this tutorial, you're gonna have more thanenough knowledge to go out and help impact people and help them heal theirguts. But this is, this is gonna change everything. So ninetyfive percent of thenation's corn is genetically modified, righté And one of the biggest sprays thatthey put on this genetically modified food contains a chemical that is an antibiotic. Antibiotics not only destroy the
bad bacteria in your gut but the goodbacteria. So here we have a population that's eating genetically modified food. It's destroying the good gut bacteria in the body. Nnow we talked about white bloodcells, righté So your white blood cells are always in your gut, they're restoringyour gut, your leaky gut. And your body's defense system has plummeted. Eightypercent of your immune system comes from your gut, so you don't even know, most thetime, that you're eating these genetically modified foods. They'reharming your body in such a way toward disease acne, skin issues, premature aging all of these is the stress being put on on
Warning Signs That Youre Zinc Deficient
Hey guys, Axe here from draxe . Today,I'm going to share with you the five warning signs that you're zinc deficient. Zinc deficiencyis something that's very common and can cause a number of health issues. Let me say this as well, I estimate about75% of people out there today are deficient in zinc. Here are the five warning signs thatyou are zinc deficient. Also at the end of this tutorial I'll talk about my top five zincrichfoods you should be getting in and what to look for in a zinc supplement. Number one warning sign that you have a zincdeficiency is if you're immune compromised.
If you tend to get sick frequently, if youhave immune system issues, if you've ever come down with any sort of chronic allergiesor anything like that, that's a big warning sign that you are zinc deficient. So again, if you're immune compromised, ifyou get sick often or you're always that person that gets sick, that is a major warning sign. Also, if you've had any other disease related to immunodeficiency, that's a warning signyou're zinc deficient. Number two warning sign you're zinc deficientis if you have leaky gut. Leaky gut is a condition where proteins can leak through the gut andcause systemic inflammation, and that's also
relate to food allergies, thyroid problems, adrenal fatigue. But number two warning sign that you are zincdeficient is if you have leaky gut and you have malabsorption, you're not digesting yournutrients well. Number three warning sign you're zinc deficientis if you struggle with diarrhea, if you ever have loose stools. That's where, again, yourstools aren't firmly formed in the toilet. That's a big warning sign that you're zincdeficient. Also if you have inflammatory bowel disease, like irritable bowel syndrome, any of those issues whatsoever, even gas and bloating. Those are warning signs you are zinc deficient.
Number four warning sign is thinning hairor losing your hair. If you have thin hair or are losing your hair, zinc is an essentialmineral that really supports thicker hair growth and also just supports your body growingand repairing and healing. Number five warning sign you're zinc deficientis you have any sort of inflammatory skin issue, especially acne, eczema, dermatitis,or psoriasis. All of those are warning signs that you are zinc deficient. There are other warning signs, but I wantto talk about what people are most deficient in zinc and what causes a zinc deficiency. One of the biggest things that causes a zinc
deficiency is high levels of emotional stress. If you are emotionally stressed out, overtime your body has to utilize zinc and that mineral to heal and repair the body, to repairthe brain, to repair the skin, to repair your organs. Zinc is a reparative mineral thatactually is even critical for protein synthesis and utilization in your body. So if you havehad, let's say, a loss in the family or a very stressful job, and you're not sleepingenough, any of those things, that is a big cause of zinc deficiency. The second most common cause of zinc deficiencyis over exercise. Triathletes, marathon runners,
and CrossFit athletes are some of the peoplethat are most susceptible to a zinc deficiency. So again, if you work out a lot and maybeeven have overworked out in the past that can cause zinc deficiency. The third mostcommon reason you're zinc deficient is if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Obviouslywhen you're eating for two that can cause mineral deficiencies, and so again, that cancause a zinc deficiency. Last but not least, typically aging womenor elderly, they tend to have malabsorption, so they don't absorb zinc well, so they tendto have a zinc deficiency as something that can happen. So if you're going to get morezinc in your diet, a few things need to happen.
Peppermint Oil Benefits and Uses
Hey, guys, Axe here, of FunctionalMedicine and Founder of draxe . Today, I'm going to talk to you about one of my favoriteessential oils, and that's peppermint essential oil. Peppermint oil benefits are incredible. The uses of peppermint essential oil have been proven for thousands of years. I want to start with this, and this is goingto surprise you I bet. When I started looking into essential oils and their health benefits,I knew they were used throughout history for over 5,000 years. I knew they were beneficial, but I didn't know how many medical studies there would be on them.
When I went into PubMed and started lookingat the medical literature, I was shocked to find out on peppermint oil alone there areover 1,200 medical studies. So over a 1,000 medical studies on this essential oil in provingthat it helps heal your digestive tract, that it improves your breath, that it fights cancer. Some incredible benefits there of this essentialoil. What makes peppermint oil so powerful is it contains a compound called menthoor menthol. This compound has been shown to act as an analgesic on the body, reduce inflammation, and act as an antioxidant. I want to share with you some of the bestways to use peppermint oil. By the way, peppermint
oil is one of the top two used essential oilsin the United States today along with lavender essential oil. But peppermint oil, one of the most commonways I use it is as a natural breath freshener in my natural toothpaste recipe. What I dofor my natural toothpaste is I mix coconut oil with baking soda in equal parts, let'ssay a tablespoon of each, along with about 20 drops of peppermint oil. Mix that together. That's what I use for my natural toothpaste at home using peppermint essential oil. The other way I'll use peppermint essentialoil is just as kind of a natural mouthwash
or breath freshener is I put one drop in waterand drink it down. It freshens the breath. Another way peppermint oil has been shownto benefit your health is by naturally boosting your energy levels. In fact, there was a recentmedical study that found by just smelling peppermint oil it naturally increases yourenergy levels. My wife carries this around in her purse with her. Before we go into aworkout, sometimes we'll smell it. I know a professor, and this is incredibleas well, who works with his students and he actually diffuses cedar wood oil and peppermintoil during his class, because cedar wood oil has been shown to help ADHD symptoms and improvefocus. Peppermint oil improves his energy
and concentration. So he actually diffuses this oil in his classroomto help his children focus while they're test taking. So, this is great for that reasonas well. Peppermint oil has also been shown in medicalstudies to help soothe irritable bowel syndrome and leaky gut like issues. If you strugglewith digestive issues, peppermint oil can really help soothe and cool your digestivetract. Just one to two drops in water taken daily is greatly beneficial. Or, you can actuallyjust put it right on your skin as well. Another great thing to use peppermint oilfor is to open your airways for bronchitis,
allergies, or asthma. You can mix peppermintoil with eucalyptus oil and use it as a natural vapor rub. So again, a tablespoon of coconutoil, five drops peppermint, five drops eucalyptus, rubbing that on the chest is a natural vaporrub, helps open up the lungs and airways. It's also great during allergy season whetheryou just put a drop under your tongue, or do it in water, or rub it again on your neck.It really helps open the sinus airways and lung airways helping you breathe better. Also, it can help eliminate headaches. Ifyou've got headaches, mixing three drops of lavender oil, three drops of peppermint oilon your hand, and rubbing them on your neck
