What Are The Signs And Symptoms Of Leaky Gut Syndrome
Greetings. Eric Bakker, naturopath from NewZealand, author Candida Crusher. I've got a question here from a guy in the States.I'm not going to mention his name. He wanted to stay anonymous. He's asking me Eric, whatare the signs and symptoms of leaky gut syndromeé The signs and symptoms, there could be a tonof them. I've done a few tutorials on leaky gut, and I did one just before basically on howdo you know that you've got leaky guté What are some of the conditions that are obviouswith ité The most common signs and symptoms of leakygut syndrome are gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, IBS, irritable bowel syndrome. These are very common ones. There are tons
of them. You can get digestive discomfortwith leaky gut. And a common place to get it is anywhere around here where the smallintestine is. Anywhere around this region, it's centrally. The large intestine tendsto be more the perimeter and the small intestine tends to be more central. Anywhere central. This is why people with parasites tend to have more of a sensation around the umbilicalcord because that is really a central part of the small intestine. And parasites, inmy opinion, especially acute parasite infections, tend to favor the small intestine, particularlythe center of it, the ileum. But when you've got leaky gut, you could alsofeel sensations a little bit higher up. And
they can be here sometimes. You could almostthink you've got heartburn. Leaky gut doesn't usually radiate any pain toward the back likea gall bladder pain or pancreatic pain will. It tends to be more frontal. And it can besomething like bloating, gas, or having to undo your waistband after a meal. Generally, you're not going to get pains off to the side as I mentioned because that's generally morecolon or large intestine dysfunction. It will be a central kind of disturbance. For the lesser known complaints with leaky gut can be things like brain fog, itchy skin, sore joints, seasonal allergies, immune dysfunction, insomnia, there can be a whole raft of differentthings that signal leaky gut syndrome. Remember,
what we're doing with leaky gut is we're allowingundigested food particles to enter into the bloodstream or potentially Candida or celldebris or all sorts of rubbish that really should be digested properly and filtered throughthe microvilli. But they're bypassing the microvilli, getting in through the intracellularjunctions, and challenging immune system. When we challenge the immune system, therecould be a myriad of complaints that could be possible. Thyroid dysfunction, autoimmunedisease, diabetes, all sort of conditions can occur as a result long term. Leaky gutis something that you really want to fix up in the early stages rather than let it buildup over a 10, 20, or 30 year period when it
gets seriously bad.Imagine you've got a small amount of rot in a roof of a house. In fact, my house thatI'm living in now, this is the rebuilt section, but old house up the front here. I've gota 100year old cottage. We built this extension on. But when we put a whole new roof overthe lot, we found so much rot in the roof of the old house. It cost me a fortune toget all the new beams replaced. Had that been repaired a long, long time ago, maybe 30,40 or 50 years ago, it would have been quite cheap. But now, it was in the tens of thousandsof dollars to repair that damage. Because the damage just continued on and on. And ifthe damage would have continued on for many
more years, the whole roof would have hadto be replaced, all the timber at a huge cost. Now, your digestive system is like that. Ifyou don't fix something up now when you've got a bit of gas or a bit of bloating or afew headaches or aches or pains, you can imagine what will happen if you leave that undisturbedfor 20, 30 or 40 years. Those are the functional complaints that end up becoming autoimmunediseases and even cancer. Lots of people laugh and joke when they pass gas, they fart, butwhat they don't realize is that this condition if it gets serious and long term, it's goingto be a major problem. And then there is no more laughing. Then there is crying. A stitchin time saves nine.

And Vitamin B12 is something that about 40%of people are deficient in today. And it really is one of your body's most important vitaminsand something that a lot of people struggle with. And if you struggle with any type of fatigueor low energy, levels that is a big warning sign that you have a Vitamin B12 deficiency. If you struggle with lack of focus or poor memory issues, that's a big warning sign youhave a Vitamin B12 deficiency.
If you are a person out there that's struggleswith poor cellular function or you've been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease likefibromyalgia or chronic fatigue, that's a warning sign that you have a Vitamin B12deficiency. Also anemia, if you have anemia or you everstand up and you felt lightheaded or here and there, you feel, again, like you get lightheaded when you stand up, that's a warning sign you have a Vitamin B12 deficiency. Andthis is very, very common in people. Also, if you have a thyroid condition likehyperthyroidism, Hashimoto's, or adrenal fatigue, or adrenal gland issues, and you get emotionallystressed out easy and frazzle easy, those
are the biggest warning signs that you mayhave a Vitamin B12 deficiency. In this tutorial, I'm going to go over exactlyhow you overcome a Vitamin B12 deficiency. By the way, it's probably going to surpriseyou some of the answers I give. Now here is my first thing I want to talkabout with Vitamin B12 deficiency. The biggest reason that most people have Vitamin B12deficiencies is because they don't have a healthy digestive system. So some of us get enough Vitamin B12 in ourdiet in certain ways, but we're not absorbing and digesting Vitamin B12 properly and that'sbecause you can develop a condition called
leaky gut, and having a leaky gut can be causedby consuming things like gluten, too many dairy products, and other issues can causedigestive issues and then proteins leak through your gut. It causes something called malabsorption. So malabsorption is when you're not actually digesting the food you're eating. You knowa lot of people have heard the principle quot; You are what you eat, quot; it's not true. You are what you digest. And if you're notdigesting properly, you are not able to absorb Vitamin B12. And so, the first people thattend to have a Vitamin B12 deficiency are
people that struggle with leaky gut and digestiveissues. And so if you have food allergies, if you have any sort of bloating, or gas,or acid reflux, or inflammatory bowel disease, that probably means that you Vitamin B12deficiency. The second subgroup of people that have aVitamin B12 deficiency are people that are vegans or vegetarians, because they're gettinglittle to no Vitamin B12 in your diet. You only get Vitamin B12, if you're consumingmeat products. They're not found in vegetables so that wouldleave you at a deficiency and the third group of people that would tend to have a VitaminB12 deficiency are people that follow a poor
diet and don't have enough probiotics in theirdiet or good bacteria. And so again, if you don't consume probioticrich foods on a regular basis that probably means that you could have a Vitamin B12 deficiency. And VitaminB12 is important for so many things. Vitamin B12 benefits include improving redblood cell formation which is important for energy and heart health. They actually helpwith cellular function which is important for your cells and body functioning property. They actually support the brain and nervesystem. And they're actually studies out there
How To Overcome Stomach Ulcers Fast
Hey guys, Axe here, of functionalmedicine and founder of draxe . In this tutorial I'm going to share with you the threesteps to overcome stomach ulcers really fast as well as common stomach ulcer symptoms soyou know if that's actually what you're experiencing. I'm going to talk about the diets for ulcers, the supplements and the things that you must avoid for quick healing. First off, stomach ulcers happen within thestomach. The pain you're experiencing tends to be caused by stomach acid affecting thatulcer or something that you've eaten. It's rubbing that ulcer in the wrong way. Sortof imagine you've got a burn and you're rubbing
up against it or putting something acid onit and you're feeling that pain. Some of the biggest symptoms and warning signsthat you have a stomach ulcer include pain anywhere from the navel up to sort of thechest bone area here. Typically right in this midsection you'll feel pain, sometimes burningand cramping going on. That's a big warning sign. You can actually experience stomachulcers on an empty stomach. If two hours after a meal you start having that pain and burningsensation, that's a warning sign you have a stomach ulcer. You can feel it in the middleof the night in many cases as well. Listen to this. Seventy percent of stomachulcers are caused by a bacteria called H.
Pylori bacteria. If we're going to correctthe actual cause of stomach ulcers, it's so critical that we increase the good bacteriain your body and we get rid of the bad bacteria and reduce that H. Pylori that's within yoursystem. Let's jump into the three steps you can follow right now to heal a stomach ulcerfast. The number one thing is remove the triggers.Overeating is one of the biggest things that can cause issues. If you're eating large meals, you've got to stop that. Eat smaller meals frequently throughout the day. The other thingthat'll bother is spicy foods, whether it's cayenne pepper, anything like that, blackpepper. Those can really fire it up and cause
some of the pain. Also, doing certain products that are inflammatoryin nature. Processed food products can cause more issues than others. And, sugar. Remember,H. Pylori bacteria, that bad bacteria, can increase within the stomach which can causethat stomach ulcer. Again, staying away from processed sugar altogether is really importantwhen it comes to healing stomach ulcers. Also, caffeine and alcohol can make stomach ulcersworse. Eating nuts and seeds in large amounts. Acidic foods such as tomato products can sometimescause more pain with a stomach ulcer. Number one, remove those triggers.
Step number two, change your diet. Here arethe top healing foods for stomach ulcers. Number one is bone broth. Bone broth actuallyis at a certain pH that can soothe the pain with a stomach ulcer. Also, bone broth containsproline and glutamine, two amino acids that can help heal the stomach lining. I recommend8 to 12 ounces of a cup of bone broth or bone broth soup 2 to 3 times daily. Remember, bonebroth is the number one healing food for any type of stomach ulcer. The number two food is aloe vera juice. Drinkingaloe vera juice throughout the day. It has a certain pH and certain nutrients calledpolysaccharides that can also help and repair
that stomach ulcer. Again, bone broth numberone, aloe vera juice number two. Number three food that's going to help healthat stomach lining is going to be vegetables, specifically steamed vegetables or vegetablesin the Crock Pot. Carrots are fantastic. Asparagus is good. The best food of all, actually another liquidhere, is cabbage juice. That's number three. Cabbage juice contains a type of sulfur whichhelps heal the gut lining. You can see with the stomach if you have stomach ulcers doingsoups and juices are going to be the best. Again, bone broth, cooked vegetables, aloevera juice, cabbage juice, these are the most
